Concrete Core Drilling
Diamond Core Drilling is used to make precise circular penetrations in concrete in various diameters and depth.
Diamond core drilling is so called because it uses a ‘diamond bit’. This drill bit is composed of group of small, industrial grade diamonds set into a metallic, soft matrix. As the concrete is drilled, this matrix will wear away and expose more diamonds which enables to cut the concrete with the rod inside.
A core drill is a drill specifically designed to remove a cylinder of material, much like a hole saw. The material left inside the drill bit is referred to as the core. Core drills used for concrete are generally called Diamond Core Drills and are water cooled.
